THIS Los Angeles Gallery presents Home Sweet Home, a group exhibition that explores the conventions and comfort of home in a traditional gallery setting. The work exhibited is derived from the idea of “home” conjured in the mind of five young artists. Based both in Los Angeles and New York, the artists featured will be Jon Cournoyer, Mike Gigliotti, Hannah Hooper, Vanessa Prager and Annie Thornton. Through the use of the entire gallery space, these artists will bring a youthful, fresh and evocative spin on their personal notions of home.

The Right Light
a Live-Painting/Video Performance and Exhibition

The theme of the evening is "introspection", "staring within", and "nighttime isolation"; with images of vacant streets, empty spaces and solitary figures in silhouettes under lamppost shadows. The night will feature drawings and paintings by Le Gallo & Cournoyer along with their performance of live-painting layered over video projections. The projections, shot by LeGallo, are video portraits of interesting characters whose thoughts and settings will be rendered by hand within and around his subjects. Guest artists will be taking their turns as well and will include Nathan Spoor, Chandler Wood and others.
